Biography
Andrea Vena is the Chief Climate and Sustainability Officer at the European Space Agency (ESA), with over 30 years of experience in the space sector. His career spans both industrial and institutional roles, beginning at Alenia Spazio, the space branch of Finmeccanica (now Leonardo).
Since joining ESA in 2000, Andrea has held key strategic positions, including leading the Corporate Strategic Planning and Development offices. In 2021, he was appointed to his current role, driving ESA’s contributions to the Paris Agreement and the European Green Deal through its space programmes.
